Cut out an area by drawing

1. On the workspace or in the object list, select the object that contains the area you want.
   
   
2. On the Cut & Crop menu, click Cut Out.
   
   
3. At the top of the workpane, click By Drawing.
   
   
4. Zoom in to magnify the area.
   
   
5. To select the area do the following:
   • Click in small increments around the area you want.
     
     
   • To undo the most recent selection increment, click Undo Last. To start over, click Reset on the Cut Out toolbar.
     
     
   • Click your starting point to complete the selection.
6. To adjust the selection outline, drag a point on the outline.
   
   
7. To soften the edges of the outline, move the Edge slider towards Soft.
   
   
8. Select any other options you want.

   For Help on an option, press SHIFT+F1, and then click the option.

9. On the Cut Out toolbar, click Finish.
